When we do a demo to a corporate client they invariable ask for a trial installation. Now the marketing guy can just pull out his wallet, take out this credit card sized drive and hand it over and say "there you go, knock yourself out!". Its just a marketing gimmick.

I used to do that with business-card-sized CDs, although it was limited to read-only stuff. In any case, people where always stunned when I pulled the little thing with the demo and my business card together. As you say, it's a marketing gimmick, but very effective.
