We were using an old program on our old server for novell to send a quick message when certain things occur in our VFP program. It is called send.exe. Here is how we would call it:

RUN /N7 t:\netutil\SEND "SYSTEM MESSAGE OF SOME KIND" USERNAMEHERE

We copied the send.exe into this network drive. It worked beautiful on our old server, but the new one has a newer version of Novell on it. Now it works only sometimes and seems to say the message comes from the wrong user, sometimes a printer or server name even.

Are there any easy program I can use this way to work with Novell to send a quick message to a user logged in through visual foxpro? I would rather use Novell instead of Visual itself since it is already logged in and active, instead of adding extra resources to Visual and slowing down the workstations more with another thing running (like an IP program or something).

Anyone have any suggestions?
