No, be serious Steven. Really, there's no such thing as a "Democrat" in lockstep with anything. This is what is intriguing.

It's a very tangled situation. The Blue Dogs control about a third of the House. They hold little or no common ground with the far-lefts like Pelosi and Frank. Meanwhile, as Majority Leader, Pelosi has to name committee members. Her traditional allies are far-leftists. Far leftists were not what was elected.

I'm not saying the winners didn't win: What I am saying is that the winners, for the most part, are not of the same ilk as those who hold power in the Democratic party. So, following that vein, if the Democratic leadership introduces legislation that is left of the Blue Dogs things will get testy.

The GOP acted like robots while in power but it's apparent that the Dems are factioned. See?

>>I think we're looking at a political situation that is way too complex to get into here, but it boils down to the folks in power are not the ones who actually won the elections and resonated with the electorate. So we have this weird dichotomy.

>Yeah, the winners didn't win, huh? So it follows that the losers didn't lose either. I keep hearing this theme pop up. Whatever gets you through. ;-)
