Sure the note passer caused the crew to look more closely, but that's all. The removal was not up to him. It was at the discretion of the crew/pilot. What do you thing would have happend if the passenger had actually tried to remove the imams? He would have been arrested.

Aye, and imagine the cabincrewperson saying, "Thanks for your concern, Sir, but will *you* kindly now deplane if you're not happy. We, being crew, aren't concerned for our own safety, being super-human and able to fly"?
