>>>There is no reasonable logic in removing the person who gives me the creeps from the flight. There is good logic in removing me from the flight if I complain about a person making me nervous.
>>
>>I still think you're missing the point. Why should the crew tell the other passenger to take another flight if telling him/her that the situation has been looked into and there is no cause for concern ends the issue.
>>
>>You seem to be saying that as soon as someone raises a concern, he/she should be automatically asked to leave. That's utter nonsense. Why shouldn't someone who has a concern raise it with the crew? It is then up to the crew/pilot to make a decision on the proper course of action.
>>
>>This idea that nobody has a right to say anything, and that if they do they are automatically to be considered a subject of contempt is ridiculous.

>This idea that anyone has a right to say something and then expect that they'll just be anonymous by-standers while others are terribly inconvenienced is ridiculous.
>And I'm not saying that anyone who raises a concern should be asked to leave. What I am saying is that if they can't be calmed down about the situation it is them who should be asked to leave, not the innocent person who gives him the willies. How do you know that the crew/pilot has ever told a note-passing passenger that their worries are groundless. Put into such a position, and given the timing likely involved, no proper checking can be done and so you are left with hoping to placate the passenger somehow. Should it get to ejection ONLY the worrier is a proper ejectee in such cases.

According to the story, the Imams refused to return to their proper seats after being asked to do so, and after commandeering the exits. My take on that is that it is unlikely the crew then informed the passenger that his concerns were groundless. You've made the note passer the villain without any evidence, and you've decided he should be kicked off the flight and you refuse to accept the crew's assertions that yes, the imams were acting in a suspicious manner. Were you there?
