There were some Wausau Insurance commercials on tv for a few years which always consisted of someone asking if Wausau was in America or not. It would typically go like:

What is it called?
Wausau

Where is it from?
Wausau, Wisconsin

Is that in the U.S.?

They always made me giggle. I never forgot moving from Wisconsin to Colorado and being asked if I was from the U.S. or not :o) The same thing happened when I moved from Nederland, CO to Denver, CO. The locals always asked me how I liked living in the U.S. and told me I spoke English very well! :o)

Then there was the tv commercial which consisted of an efficiency expert who is introduced and supposed to give a detail presentation on insurance. He walks up to the podium and states one word "Wausau." Then he walks off the stge.
