That's my problem. If this would mean exactly that, when why these functions return results that look 98% correct? E.g. out of 13K files they return 112 files with e4, where 9 don't have e4 as part of the name.

Also, did you see Bruce's comment?

BTW, when I put a search for all files using Mike's code and check for a mask within a loop, I got 101 files. So, they do not miss files, they just add some extra.
