you can use a variable called DirtySchoolOfProgramming around here (too big for VFP, more used to Pascal now)it would be instantly understood :)

amnt1 = amnt2-NumberIAssignedToGlobalInAnotherProgram
ELSE
Tot2Pay = InvTotal - Tax
ENDIF
Apart from the too long variable names, it looks fine to me, of course I'd assign DirtySchoolOfProgramming to .F. :)
