I installed the prerelease version 2.3 and my problem was solved. I also had some databindings set wrong. Kevin McNeish helped get me up and running by providing his time and skills. I'm very appreciative of the response that I received. I would recommend The Mere Mortals Framework to anyone looking for a solid, supported framework.
