I am going to be moving some data from Visual FoxPro tables to SQL Server tables. The FoxPro tables have several character type columns defined as being 25 characters wide.

I would appreciate any suggestions or pros and cons about moving this character type data into CHAR(25) or VARCHAR(25) columns in SQL Server.
