I once listened on the raido to a very clever, smart-*ssed american boffin. He was describing a salesman trying to sell him a car, pointing out all the gadgets. With every one he disarmed the guy by asking him, very pompously, "What is the problem for which this .. is .. the solution?" I was wetting myself. Just love to hav the opportunity to use it myself.
