I know what you mean about the TI DLP. If you want to see an impressive LCD TV check out your local Radio Shack. They carry the LG line and the LG 32" LCD HDTV has a contrast ratio of 1600:1 which also shows an awesome picture. The LG 37" is nice too but the difference in price from the 32 to the 37 is surprising for ony a 5" difference, it really shows that the reviews are true when they say LCDs get expensive once they get to a certain size. At circuit city's web site they show the LG 32" at 999.99 while the 37" jumps to something like 1499.99.

I am going to get the 32" LG mostly because I like the wall mount capability and extremely shallow depth to the size (of course the picture is great too but not quite as impressive as the DLPs). The DLP rear projection units are almost as deep as a standard CRT type of TV.
