You're opinion on this is almost identical to mine. Haven't we butted heads on this subject before? If memory serves me correct you were burned by the Java hype a few years ago on a big project, no? I thought this had made you very cautious with DotNet.

What you could do is develop the app in VFP as per usual, but also experiment doing parts of it in C#, or ASP.NET which is fairly straight-forward. You'll soon get a good idea how feasible it is to convert this particular app in 2006.
