If the array is not created you will get an error. Try:
CREATE CURSOR Test (Fld1 I)
INSERT INTO test VALUES (1)
SELECT SUM(Fld1) FROM Test INTO ARRAY aaa WHERE .f.
? EVL(aaa[1],0)
