That doesn't mean it's 'phoney.' It is democracy working at its worst. One of the problems with freedom of information and freedom of speech is that 90% of the information is crap. There is nothing filtering it out. If you get crappy information you will make crappy choices. Yet, since it is a democracy, you have every right to make those crappy choices. Kindof like the 'garbage in, garbage out' in development... :o)
