I wouldn't even say dominant, just better. I think the AFC has 3 teams better than any NFC team, Chargers, Ravens and Colts. Then there are a bunch of AFC teams (Patriots, Bengals, Broncos, Chiefs, Jets, Jaguars) that match the best of the NFC (Bears, Cowboys, Saints, Seahawks). The rest of the NFC is so mediocre that once again there's a mathematical chance of an 8-8 (or 7-9) team in the playoffs. Whereas in the AFC there are 5 7-5 teams fighting for 2 wildcard spots.

I don't think there are any truly dominant teams this year. They all have flaws that have been exposed. It should make for some very interesting playoff matchups.
