>>Metin's argument that it would not have happened if it would have been Turkish troops is probably not valid. How would a Turkish force have stopped it without adequate weaponry?? Sure, the Dutch are not really Warriors, but the Dutch cannot bear the idea that they are responsible for the death of other people, no matter whether that are christians or muslims. Metin's understanding of the morale of the Dutch is wrong, it is a prejudice.

>First:
>They couldn't be attack UN forces. They couldn't dare take all of the world be opposite....

You are now speculating. How can you be sure that the Serbs wouldn't have dared to ignore the UN?! The impression of the commander in chief was otherwise. BTW, all Dutch are of opinion that afterall this commander in chief was not the right man for that position. He has been criticized and humiliated a lot by the Dutch for his submissive interaction with the leader of the Serbs. On the other hand, if it would have been a more authoritative personality, the outcome could have been in favor of the muslim men, but evenso it could have meant that not only those muslim men would have been killed, but also the Dutch soldiers. That's what I mean when I say that you are speculating.

Killing 8000 muslim men actually was an act that showed disrespect for the UN. It proves to me that the Serbs actually dared to ignore the UN.

>Second:
>If dutch soldiers didn't believe them they can defend bosnian civilians, why they asked the civillians "left your guns, we will survive you!..", why? Can you explain that too?

The Dutch actually did believe they were able to protect the bosnian civilians. The problem is that their perception of the Serbs was not negative enough. We, the Dutch, are/were not acquainted with the horrible mentality of the Serbs. Perhaps the Turks are acquainted, due to long time experiences.
