Ben - that is ugly. And unfortunate - all my apps have 20 pixel input controls!

The link (as you gave it) only shows the XP sample - I had to click one of the drill-downs to see both.

What resolution is the screen the image was grabbed from (800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024?). Does resetting the "margin" property have an affect.

I have been reading about VISTA - and everything I've read suggests it's not ready for primetime. Fortunately most of users are SAVVY enough not to have installed XP-SP-2.

That is ugly and it's not difficult to believe that microsoft put VISTA on the market with problems as obvious as this. Another sloppy dump MS took on it's customers. Very sloppy - thanks for pointing it out.

And I too have cannot understand why some of our esteemed UT colleagues have difficulty recogizing and admitting these M$ flaws. I read the Daily KOS sometimes (a political blog). Yesterday I learned that many of the KOS's bloggers and writers were on the payroll of dem or rep parties. Some were making hundreds of thousands a year to pretend they were amateurs. I hope - before one of us jumps in "too quickly" to defend M$ or suggest we are miss-using an M$ product, that they are not shilling for free. There's a lot of money to be made - why put the reputation on the line for M$ for nuthing!

I would appreciate any feedback on your screen resolution, type of monitor and control "marins".

BUT THAT IS ONE UGLY M$ OVERSIGHT (again):-(.

Thanks!

>>I don't know if it will help as I haven't tried it, but Tahoma is not the standard font on Vista. Have you tried changing the controls to use the standard Segoe UI font?
>>
>>>I find some issues about VFP running on Vista. Maybe you have found others. Please post them, if any.
>>>
>>>1) The height of our spinners (in our class libraries) is at 20 pixels and that for our combobox is 19. They have been working fine with our standard font Tamaho point 8 for a very very long time. Once our applications are run on Vista, I find that 24-pixel high is necessary for a spinner. Otherwise visual distortion will be seen on the spinner buttons. Similar visual problem is found for comboboxes less than 23-pixel high. Changing the height of a spinner or combobox is not difficult. The problem is fine tuning the positions of the controls around the spinner and combobox is necessary. It could cost numerous hours of work for tons of forms in different VFP applications.
>>>
>>>2) The images on toolbar buttons are not properly vertically centred at the middle of a toolbar. Excess while space is shown at the bottom of a horizontal toolbar. The standard toolbar is an example exhibiting this issue.
