I've not had a need to use it, but a good illustration of what it does is to DO a form from the debugger after you set EventTracking on. Go to Tools, Event Tracking and track events like Init, Load, Destroy.

On your test form be sure to have some controls, some containers with controls on them will make it even clearer.
