There are always political elements to these awards. I think the fact that few expect Parcells to return next season will work against him. Plus he has won it before, which also works against him.

I was watching a Notre Dame game recently -- a most satisfying thrashing at the hands of USC <g> -- and the announcers mirthfully described Charlie Weis as the Little Tuna. Little being a relative term there. Weis is as much of a whale as Parcells, if not more of one. They probably shop at the same Big and Large Men's store. "Hey, do you happen to have that belt in 56 inches?" LOL
