>>>I usually stop somewhere halfway. Yesterday I saw the last few butts in my ashtray - they were about 2-3 times longer than they should be. I just forget them there and they go out. Actually they don't go anywhere, they just... sh*t, is there a word for "ugasiti se" in English? What fire and/or light (as in "not darkness") do when they stop being?

>The primary meaning of "extinguish" is "put an end to; kill". "Ugasiti se" is for fire and light only.

I'd say the primary meaning IS "to put out [a fire]" I've rarely heard anyone say "I will extinguish you" in a film

For a word for "put an end to; kill", see "Kill" :-) (Terminate, (finishy verb) with extreme prejudice) :-)

>Found another two missing words in English yesterday: "trudnica" (pregnant woman) and "bolesnik" (ill person). Note that the latter is not the same as patient, because patient is a party in a treatment process; "bolesnik" is just ill, no treatment implied. From "bolest" - disease, "bolestan" - ill.

Here we go again with words we don't need cos we can say the same with the same no. of syllables. When you can come up with a succinct, short word that replaces a long English expression then I'll be impressed.
- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
