Good evening Yuseff
As I recall, you can read Clipper tables with VFP, but modifying the data in the Clipper table alters the Clipper index file and the memo file.
I have converted Clipper data to VFP data by reading the Clipper tables and then writing the records out to a VFP table. But as I understand it, you want to read the Clipper tables with VFP and modify the table records with VFP. I don't think that is possible without damaging the Clipper indexing and memo fields.
You might be able to get around the index file corruption by rebuilding the indexes in the Clipper application, but I have no workarounds for the memo fields.
If you had a copy of Clipper installed, what you describe would be very easy to do. Can you borrow Clipper from your client?
