That was my point, you just expressed it more nicely. We all came here from somewhere else and we are all Americans now. We screw up regularly but I'm proud to be an American and I sure don't want to listen to potshots from distant shores. Especially those from countries whose butts we have saved.

>I was ask one day what nationality I was. Well, with a name like Reichert, which saw as German, I told them I was American. I responded; "But your name is German!" I told them; "For over seven generation my family has lived here. At what point do we stop be from the old world and start being Americans?"

>P.S. I see you work from WebMD. How much of that company's programming is in VFP?

>>Well I am from the US. When I am asked what is my nationality by someone I answer "Irish and English" as that is where my maternal and paternal families originate. Only term I have heard re: US is American as in "Ugly American" or "Americans go home" or "I really like American Jazz".

>>I agree that Canadians are also Americans as are the folks from central and south America as well.

>>I didn't coin the nomenclature so it isn't my fault, honestly. Someone else did it. I guess they did it cuz United Statesian sounds so silly. Of course if one were to add a silly walk with that nationality we would have to include you brits in there too somehow as you've got the ministy of silly walks over there.
