I agree, humidity only makes things worse. Cold feels colder and hot feels hotter. Humidity is typically low here. In fact, we are dryer than Tucson, AZ! (we get 11.3 in/yr vs 12.00 for Tucson)
We are at about 5000 ft. here and you are right, the sun makes it feel quite a bit warmer than the thermometer temp. After living here for about 14 yaers, anything over 75(F) feels uncomfortably hot. 65-70(F) is perfect!
>Reminiscent of my years in Wisconsin and Colorado. I have to admit that Wisconsin always seemed colder to me due to the humidity there. Colorado really wasn't bad - it seemed warmer than it really was because the closeness to the sun. I still would rather have 70degrees! :o)

>>It is 32(F) here today and we think it is balmy. Had a couple of days last week when it didn't get above 0 (F).
