>Perhaps what is actually needed is some guidance on commercial practices in different countries of the world. I think the HSBC bank offer a service like this. For example, I see your name is Jordan Jordanov. Does that make Jordan your first name? I already know in Hungary the order of firstname/lastname is reversed...

Yes my name is Jordan and my family name is Jordan, but according rules in bulgarian to it is added -ov/-ev (which mean "son of"). Rule is the same is for womens' family names -ova/-eva.

Aplication could be developed in many ways according what you like to achieve.
- When you switch language in VFX you change all labels in your form not only codepage. All labels have to be translated in advance. And app could be used by person with different native language. This is when you like to serve international market with the same app.
- When you like in English language app to inser only another language chars, you have to use Ricks aproach.
- When you like to make apps which could be used by peoples from diffrent nations and they to save input in their own language, the job become more complicated. You have to make a mix and translate not only lables but all content of Comboboxes. Will be selection of the content in different language is other issue.

There is no universal receipt how to be done multilanguage application, it depend on market and what you like to achieve.
