If there had been no WWII, then perhaps Stalin would not have feared another German attack and no Soviet
troops in Poland, Czechoslovakia and Hungary. Most western countries believed at that time that the Soviet Union was determined to impose its style of communism on the entire world. The Soviet occupation of Eastern Europe seemed to give support to that fear. And then came NATO. So in essence, there might not be any North Atlantic Treaty Organization had it not been for "german deliriousness."
>>>>Of all the countries involved in that war, Britain came out with nothing but a huge debt, and a ravaged country and her freedom. The US made profit (OK a lot of US boys lost their lives - but so did they in all armies), Germany and Japan got rebuilt

>>>Nice way to say that there was only one that realy won the war. Folks, this is somthing more to blame us germans for ...

>What I means is that the world order we have now is in a good part a result of german deliriousness. And that I'm not happy with it.

>The mea culpa was a pleasantry and I forgot the emoticon.
