I'm checking out John's suggestion of Ruby on Rails. It's got pretty good press and lots of jobs available. Looks interesting too. I'll check out Delphi also after I get a look at Ruby. Thanks!

>I thought Delphi was one of the easiest languages to learn and you can download a trial version and there are tons of tutorials on line. However, I don't know if any jobs exist for it. Did you rule out dotnet entirely? Just wondering because you can download the express version and there are so many examples and tuturials available. I was learning c# and will switch to vb.net here soon.

I know this will open up some debate, but I'm really not looking for anything very deep on comparisons and how this one handles strings better than that one; just what do you think would be a good direction to go so I can minimize my time between contracts/jobs.
