>>>Not necessarily. You somehow expect them to be (allow me a word from MS-speak) substandard on this. It's not as bad as if it would be if someone posted something buggy here :).

>>Sorry, but I don't follow what you are saying. All I was trying to say was that, as a VFP newbie, that KB article was poorly written (or reviewed). "Control Source" was a very poor choice of words on their (MS) part - when it should have been "Row Source"...

>So it is, poorly written. It's the "doubly difficult when MS posts mistakes" part that I somewhat disagree with. Sounds as if you expected MS to do better on VFP help than on anything else they write, or what others write. Myself, I search their texts only when I've abandoned other hope. And once I find a valuable piece of information on MSDN or MSKB or whichever, I bookmark it immediately, because I'm never sure I'll be able to find it again.

All I was trying to state was that inaccuracies like that KB article make learning VFP all the more difficult. I had to question whether, after 20 some hours of playing with combos in grids, that I could have been so far off base :) Glad to find out that my understanding of combos was indeed correct :) My guess is that you are long past the newbie stage, so can't imagine the frustration of the learning curve - I envy you :)
