He's gone, it's just a question where to. His locker is cleaned out and the one thing everyone agrees on is he has played his last game as a Sixer.

The Bulls are one of the teams being mentioned. I sure hope not. I do have respect for his speed and toughness, a 170 pound guy who routinely hurls himself into the land of the giants, but he is so wrong for the Bulls. They are a young team without ego, well, not much for the NBA. They all play hard and it's a different hero every night. The last thing they need IMO is an aging superstar who needs the ball.

There are certain teams where he might be a good fit. Thinking of an Oscar Robertson scenario. You may or may not remember that Oscar was the greatest guard ever until Michael Jordan came along much later. Late in his career he was traded to the Bucks and accepted the role of #2 guy behind their young star, who was then known as Lew Alcindor. Oscar was rejuvenated and the Bucks won their first and to date only championship. I'm not saying that will be repeated with A.I. but it's the kind of team he needs to go to -- a team one player away, with a coach or teammate strong enough to force him into a role.

Charles Barkley comes to mind but Charles isn't coaching <g>. (Why not?) One of my favorite players and one of my favorite people.
