In your project window - data tab, under Databases you'll find Views.

Create a new view to represent the data you want in the grid using the view building form. Essentially it builds up an SQL statement, to create a "permanent" cursor, or "view", in your database. If you've used Excel's QBE query builder before then you should be fairly familiar with the concept, way to do it.

A parameterised view is essentially where you have a criterion "where x = ?lxparam"
