>>Internationally charged Canadian tax ?!
>>Sign the Petition

>Well, first of all, I think you know what is all the work we are trying to accomplish. So, I would simply encourage you to sign it asap so at least, we'll get one more. I have been working on this issue for two years now. This situation has cost me a lot of money. So, when I will get more money to enhance the banner, I will do it. But, for now, it would be appreciated if you could just sign it because you certainly know exactly the problem I am facing and what I am trying to change by first winning our appeal, secondly, avoiding to pay this 20,000.00$ requested uncollected tax, and by having the Canada Revenue Agency to readjust itself. You are also a Canadian. So, this means that you could be forbidded to access the Universal Thread in a short future if we loose our appeal as the only way to cut this tax would be to request a new ruling by providing the proof that we would apply a restriction that the site would no longer be able to be accessed by Canadians nor within the Canadian
>borders. This is of course, if we lost our appeal, and in the last situation. As, as I mentioned in another thread, choosing to keep 90% of the customers instead of 10%, is a pretty easy equation for me to do.
I know what you're trying to do. I believe I'm trying to help you. I don't believe one more "signature" will make a difference. You need many many members to "sign". You won't get my signature because ...
Your message is confusing!
Speaking of confusing. Are you threatening me? Do you mean *I* may be forbidden access to the UT or do you mean *Canadians* may be forbidden? Just by using one wrong word, you can drastically alter your meaning.
Not only is the wording important, but for a French Canadian to say Leave Canada Now may appear as "Separatism" and that may also contribute to few people having signed. I at least am speaking up. Others may not sign on for the same reason, but not speak up.
Everyone, regardless of country, cares if they have to pay unfair taxes, but, according to your statistics, 90% of the UTers won't care who "Leaves Canada Now".
If anyone else feels as I do, they would not access a website called Leave Canada Now. As to adjusting the banner, even a neophyte graphics guy like me can erase part of a graphic and drop other text in its place.
If this problem stems from Canadians being charged then you have another option. Make it free to Canadians. It's only at worst 10% of your revenue.
Good luck.
