Our code base is locked down on development machines. Our machines are locked down also. There is no usb access, no cd's/dvd's, no outgoing email with attachments, no access to im, chats, blogs or web-based mail sites. No https access to anything, etc. They are afraid of the codebase being transferred off site by someone who may have an axe to grind or someone who has been paid for the code, etc.
I would bet that many code shops with programs that sell for many 10's if not 100's of thousands of dollars have similar policies to prevent corporate espionage.
>>Will this change to https: on the main site. If so, You will block access to many of us behind corporate fire walls that don't allow access to secure sites.

>Also, I really don't understand why one entity would block access to https as this is usually more secure.
