Thanks for your input. I agree with you completely. There are many ways and you've made great suggestions.

The system I am presently working on has serious design flaws (regrettably). One of them is it has numerous PUBLIC variables. One of those is a global application (oApp) variable. On this variable is the data I need for the report. Therefore, I am cheating and taking that access to the data. It's not good design or ultimately safe, but it is available and within the expectations of how this has been built so far.
