Hi Gary.
Thanks again for your comments.

>Your question is quite general. .NET has inherently different approached to data handling than VFP. The sluggishness of some VFP frameworks is a combination of VFP and bad framework/class design. Generally, I don't see the inheritance levels as deep in .NET as you can see in many VFP classes/frameworks. .NET has much better OOP model than VFP and as such, other techniques are available for class and framework design. You will really need to evaluate the frameworks on offer and see for yourself.

>>I kooked at a few VFP apps (and indeed purchased a few) years ago, and the two things I noticed was that form refreshing seemed to be very slow, pesumably because of the 'Framework' baggage. On one of the frameworkds, it turned out to be so slow, that I had to revert to straight VFP to develop the app.

>>>Hi Gerard.

>>>I'm a StrataFrame user, and all I can say is that it has helped me a lot. The framework grows in a regular basis, the support is the best I've seen. It looks nice, there are many very productive tools. I've been re-writting a VFP application we seel in Brazil using SF, and it's been great fun.

>>>Cheers.
