Hi Tom

>You may never be forgiven for your obvious bias against MM. :)

I never liked the VFP Mere Mortals either - so, I used Codemine.

>By the way, I have been in contact with the folks at StrataFrame and they answer my questions like now! No waiting!

Support at Micro4 is really top-notch - dedicated forum, e-mail support, telephone. I would hate to have to rely on a UT based forum for specific support for a framework.

>Have you worked with ASP.NET and StrataFrame? I have a major project (300 forms and users all over the world that are part of our corporation) I need to convert from ASP to ASP.NET.

I haven't personally.

>I have to find out if the ASP.NET portion of StrataFrame has sufficient detail to get started. There are some things about StrataFrame that seem like just what I want. There is one way to find out! Time to download the demo!

Go get 'em Tom :)

>>I evaluated MM.Net, it wasn't a personal purchase, it was for a plc. I went to Kevin first because I assumed that MM.Net would, by virtue of its maturity, be "just the job". However, I was surprised at how little I found in the framework.
>>
>>After using Codemine for VFP, I was pretty certain of what I expected from a framework and for me, MM.Net fell far short of the mark. Whilst StrataFrame was only just being launched 12 months ago, I could see that I could do infinately more with it even then than I could with MM.Net.
>>
>>If I was having the re-specify a framework or devtool for another greenfield development project now, there are many more choices in the market that I would be compelled to look at. As I alluded to in my original posting in this thread, my personal preference is leaning to a more domain based approach utilising a true business object in an entity based collection. This would rule out both MM.Net and StrataFrame. Does that mean I have an issue with StrataFrame - certainly not.

>>John, you are soooo partisan sometimes :)
