In my application, I do a Mail Merge in Word with a date field. I use the IF…Then…Else in word to test if my date is empty ('MergeDate' = "") and if it is empty I show ___________ so the user can specify a date directly on the paper. In Word95 it works fine but in Word97 an empty date is 00/00/00 or 00-00-00 depending on the regional setting. Is there anyone who knows a good way to hide in Word97 the 00/00/00 or 00-00-00 no matter what the date format?
