Perhaps I didn't use the correct verbage. The ergonimic keyboards aren't really designed for "comfort". They're designed to help reduce the possibility of getting carpal tunnel syndrome. However, using an ergonomic keyboard alone is not enough. Most people need to redesign their work areas too.
I find switching to a laptop keyboard easier than switching to a regular full-sized keyboard.
