I like this flexibility, of first creating the cursor (usually a single cursor) Years ago - with FoxPro - I did some complicated programming, with SET RELATION, SET FILTER, etc. With the availability of the SQL - SELECT command (and once I learned to take advantage of it!) I use this most of the time to prepare reports. For more complicated reports, I may have to write some complicated loops, but I still end up creating a cursor.
