Yes, in researching this issue I have improved the SELECT - SQL using join conditions for each table. This approach appears to actually be faster (and clearer).

For my investigation I have purposely retained the original syntax. Whatever the problem turns out to be this syntax has proven to work adequately up until recently. I just want to avoid introducing another independent variable at this time.

When this is sorted out I am quite sure we'll update to the newer syntax.
