This message has been marked as the solution to the initial question of the thread.
>What is the difference between this two version in terms of programming? I just opened my VFP 6.0 project in VFP 9.0 and everything seems to be working. What is the advantage of 9.0 to 6.0?

Comfort and speed of coding, plus the number of bug fixes.

Tools I miss immediately when I fire up 6.0:

- command window is blank, none of the lines from previous session are present
- no intellisense
- no taskpane manager, specially its environment manager where I keep various settings for each project separately, and which I use to navigate to the current project
- no value tips in the debugger
- no intellisense in the debugger
- no Code References
- tool windows not dockable

Things that are less important to me but are also a nuisance:
- multiple limitations in SQL
- no XML support
- report writer untouched since VFP3
- no support for text/endtext into a variable, no textmerge() function
- also missing a bunch of functions, or parameters in existing ones
- visual aspect of some controls is way behind - single line headers, limited options for images on command buttons
- resizing has to be coded
