I also had to dig this out somewhere from my FPD2.6 days... actually, the only POS printer I had to wrestle with was in a bar. Not that wrestling it was that hard - I sat on a barstool on a sunny morning in a shiny new restaurant, had excellent coffee on the house, and eventually got the damn thing to spit bills and kitchen notes :).
