Thanks Tracy. Appreciate your response.

Only the vfp8 SP1 Runtime has even been installed on these computers. They are installed in the default

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VFP

Typically, This happens on one station in a 3 station network. The same executable and Runtime is install locally on each station.

The 3 stations have been working just fine for 2-3 years now. Then all of a sudden yesterday station #3 started doing this totally on it's own.

The other 2 stations are working fine. But when I run the executable that is already working on another station, from station #3 thru the Network, I get the same error !!

Yes, I have un-installed and re-installed Runtime couple of times.

Funny thing is, a smaller .EXE file (vfp8 compiled) works on this station #3. But the original (larger) one that has been on there all this time, doesn't.

I have copy the larger executable from the other station (where it is working fine), and also downloaded a fresh version of the same executable, but the error continues and the application is terminated.

It is really confusing. Maybe it is a Virus, or maybe something in Windows Auto-Updates, but I believe it is spreading, and soon it will be everywehere... (at least in my installed base).

This is a problem, that so far can't even be fixed !! Pretty scary...

I don't know what else to do? (One of my customers had to go and buy a brand new computer yesterday and installed the application - he runs a Retail business) I wonder is this a Windows Registery problem ? or ahat else can it be ?

Thanks again.
Cyrus

>Where do you store the runtimes? In the past some of our customers had other apps written in VFP and when they did an update they would overwrite the runtimes and we would get that error. I've seen runtimes stored in alot of different places by different companies over the years! Depending on where yours are and where another apps are, your app may be using their runtimes.
