Lots of people use frameworks for .NET as well as for VFP.
I think I'm in the minority re: frameworks, but I much prefer to build my own framework from scratch so I really understand the nuts and bolts of it and do not get too dependant on an outside source for support/maintenance/etc.
My company did start our first major ASP.NET app using Mere Mortals as a foundation last spring, but due to difficulties we encountered (mainly due to the way we handle data - not the MM way) trying to work within the framework we have pretty much written it out.
