>"Soon" is not the correct word; "has done it for two years now" is the correct phrase <g>. A replacement for the Add Property/Method dialog has shipped with VFP 9 since the beta. I'm not at a machine that has VFP 9 right now, so I don't have the exact steps, but to install it, open the Task Pane Manager, choose the Solution Samples pane, expand VFP 9 samples, and find the FoxCode Menu Hit sample (that may not be the exact name). In the dialog that appears, click the button to turn on Menu Hit processing, then click the button to install the new dialog.

Thanks. That's the one you wrote? I thought it was the one that was installed by default. Well, live and learn. Of course, the disadvantage to preservation of case is that you can't count on finding your additions at the bottom of the list anymore.

>Don't bother changing the name when this happens -- the name is upper-cased in the internal VFP names table, not the class or form. Simply exit VFP, then restart, and the name will be in the proper case. I'm not sure why the case of the name gets changed (I think MS isn't sure of the reason either) but it isn't a permanent issue.

I beg to differ on that one. <g> It is not fixed by exiting and restarting VFP, unfortunately. I have forms and classes (just a few, thank goodness) where it's happened and I've never been able to change it back.
