"The Firm" might be a good one for you to watch together.

At the top of my to-be-watched stack, in no particular order, are the Criterion edition of "Seven Samurai" and "Nirvana Live Tonight" <lol>.

>Haley and I sit down and watch The Titanic together every couple of months. Since she loves horror flicks (or teen movies) and I love suspense, it is one of the few movies we both enjoy (Other than the Pirates of the Caribbean and the NoteBook and a couple of others). I always dread watching it for the upteenth time, but everytime I find that I still really enjoy it :o) We own Pirates of the Caribbean and have watched it numerous times together as well. Last night when it came on tv Haley ran downstairs to let me know and turned it on in the living room. We watched it again and suffered the commercials when I could just as easily have put the DVD in! :o)

>>It has become such a cliche to bash "Titanic" that it's easy to forget what a sensation it was. It not only broke the box office record, it doubled it. At a time when $100 million was the mark of a blockbuster, it did $100 million. In England. And in France. And in Japan. In Japan you had to reserve your seats days in advance. Even the midnight shows were packed. It struck a universal note. Schmaltzy in places? Sure. But what a terrific movie.

>>When my family travelled not long after we went to see it together I noticed Emily, then about 7, had drawn a picture of the ship. It was a good depiction of the Titanic, complete with a man and a woman holding hands. "The ship of dreems," she titled it. Aw.

>>>Yes, my mom recently bought the DVD for my daughter. It, along with the Titantic, are my daughter's favorites. We see it entirely too much in my house! :o) It is a tear jerker...
