What error do you get? BTW, why do you divide by 1? Do you really want to divide by 1.2?

I have no experience with SAP or HP-3000, but my sugegstion will always be to select the remote data into VFP cursors, and manipulate these cursor. Cursor handling in VFP is extremely fast.
