I have not had the need to do this so have no experience with it, but are you saying you need to populate the ddl on the client side by javascript code, or populate from the backend side?

If the former I have no idea at this point. If the latter, I would think you should be able to convert the XML to a DataSet/DataTable and bind to that or you could also traverse the the XML programmatically and populate the ddl manually.

Hopefully someone who has actually done this will jump in and provide details.
