I have written some lemon code but no lime code yet (rimshot).

My nominee for worst cola variant -- well, maybe we should exempt New Coke, the gold standard -- is Coke Zero. How aptly named. Last weekend my daughters and I went to the grocery store to pick up some stuff for Christmas Eve dinner and one of the items on my list was a case of regular Coke, which was $3.99 with coupon. Then the case of Coke in turn had a coupon affixed to it for a 12 pack of Coke Zero free with purchase of a case of Coke. (If you're scoring at home, that's 36 cans of Coke for $3.99 -- such a deal!). After getting home and refrigerating it for a few hours we all tried a can of Coke Zero in an impromptu taste test. I have to agree with Allie's pithy comment that it sucked. The Zero in the name apparently refers to carbonation as well as calories. It does taste kinda like Coke, moreso than Diet Coke. Just Coke that has been left open all night. We decided Coke Flat would be a better name. If it doesn't have that bite to it, why bother?
