On a couple of occasions I've run into weird behaviour with VCXs which I believe (but can't prove) are due to subtle corruption.
If you are able to re-create the class fairly easily you could try:
- back up your classlib
- delete the problem class from your classlib
- manually add it back in again
Of course, this may not help if the corruption (if present) is not actually in the class in question but in a "nearby" class instead.
