>>But there's hope: I've seen pure blueberry juice in the grocery yesterday, finally. Didn't try it, it's too damn expensive (something like $7 a quart, or even steeper - one of those bottles where you can't really judge the volume, is it a trick of light or just your eyes cheating on you), but it's a start.

Depends on the composition. Back home, pretty much any other little town sits on a spring of mineral water, and you can find mineral water that's to your taste (or that your doctor says is good for you).

Haven't tried any here - and the assortment isn't that rich, it's more for the rich, only the French imports, which are mostly expensive.

>Fruit juice, on the other hand, yes. I've not yet seen blueberry juice. I'd like to try it. Pomegranate juice seems to be becoming popular. Another one I'd like to see that I haven't yet is pure cherry juice. I can't imaging that it's not sold somewhere, but I've never seen it anywhere in Toronto.

Whenever they mix fruits, I assume one of them is not the freshest crop, so the other one is covering the taste. Sometimes it turns out quite fine - but most of the time I just wonder why they bother to spell both fruits. Cranberry plus apple could be spelled crapple, as far as I'm concerned.
